Currently,
we are working on a piece of software for Office Automation.
It has
become apparent that there is a need in the workplace for a cost
effective way to create documents such as memos, faxes, pleadings
etc. These documents often share almost exactly the same
layout
and
elements between them and keeping a template for each type of
document for each individual person within an office can lead to a huge
template base that will have to be modified and updated with new
employees, departing employees, name changes and telephone number or
extension changes. What if there
was a package that would easily pull that information
from Microsoft Active Directory, Novell eDirectory or any
other
LDAP source that contains the pertinent information for these
documents? Wouldn't it make sense to simply use that
information
instead of maintaining a large base of templates or pre-printed paper?
Wouldn't it
also make sense to allow this package to format your office letterhead
instead of having to spend extra each year on that pre-printed
letterhead and envelopes?
Unfortunately,
we can not offer any more information than that!
Please check back on the status of this project as we hope to
have a functional piece of software available for testing in the mid
summer of 2006!
